Rooms over Ramps

The Beta Beta Beta Biology Society was in this room built over a ramp, with raised sections of floor

Due to the unusual origins of Kell Hall as a parking garage, the university had the difficult task of fitting rooms into spaces that formerly help ramps. In some cases, carpenters build raised floors to lift the rooms over the sloped concrete ramp. In less important areas, rooms were left with the sloped floors and mechanical equipment was installed. As a result, many rooms in Kell Hall have sloped floors, odd stairs, or strange slanted sections of wall.
