Description

A boy uses a radio receiver as part of the Atlanta Public Schools and WSB project School of the Air. The date given on the photo is likely too early for both the specific radio model and the school program. Reverse side mentions Lambdin Kay's participation. Attached note reads: Dear Elmo, This is a picture of one of the original Atwater Kent battery-operated radio receivers first used in 1926 in the first city-wide ""school of the air"" in the United States which was a joint project of WSB radio and the Atlanta Public Schools.
