Letter to Marion Smith from George M. Sparks

Title

Letter to Marion Smith from George M. Sparks

Description

Dr. Sparks writes the chairman of the Board of Regents Marion Smith to detail his attempts to sell his current facilities to the Baptist Tabernacle church. At the time the church is offering less than the university wants, but is still the most likely buyer. Dr. Sparks discusses encouraging the church by saying that if they did not purchase it at a fair price, another buyer could turn it into a cheap hotel or other tenant that could bring in an element of crime or would otherwise make a poor neighbor.
