A theatrical troupe (sometimes referred to as an acting company) is a group of theatrical performers working together. They collaborate to create and perform theatrical productions, which can include plays, musicals, dance performances, and other forms of live entertainment. Troupes may work in repertory theaters or other types of venues, and they may also take their performances on tour1. Unlike a theatre company, which is an organization that produces theatrical performances, a troupe is primarily focused on the artistic collaboration and performance aspect.
